St. Clare Health Mission

A cooperative effort to provide free health care for Monroe County residents who have no health insurance and whose financial status prevents seeking medical treatment.
 

• Where:

  • ​Mayo Health System - Sparta Campus 310
    West Main Street, Sparta, Wisconsin.  Call 608-366-5343 for more information. Leave a voice message for staff to return your call.

• When:

  • 1st and 3rd Tuesday evening each month 5:00 - 6:30p.m.  Registration (No appointments needed)
    Patients seen on first come / first served basis.

• Who:

  • Monroe County Residents only; adults over 18 years
    Financial eligibility reviewed at registration.  Income information or documentation is requested at registration, with no public or private medical insurance.  

• What:

  • Basic health care treatment for acute and chronic medical problems.  Referral to Mayo or Gundersen specialists if recommended by volunteer physicians. In-house pharmacy for prescribed medications (no narcotics prescribed). No services available for mental health counseling, dental care, or vision care.

 

St. Clare Health Mission of Monroe County is staffed entirely by volunteer medical staff and office volunteers. Spanish language interpreters are available at each clinic.
